All Players will try to adjust their set up and posture to match the clubs. Actually, the opposite needs to happen. Proper set-up, posture and swing speed are all critical factors in fitting clubs properly. Players with poor posture as a result of trying to set-up to the club flat on the ground need to begin by correcting their posture through instruction. Once that is complete, the set-up can be find tuned for the individual body and swing. Then, the clubs need to be fit to that proper set-up!

Custom fitting can be very important with a set of golf clubs. Factors such as club length, lie angle, and shaft flex can make the difference between hitting it tight to the pin, or hitting a weak toe shot into a lake. Improper club length can cause fundamental problems at address even before you start your swing, and incorrect lie angle can greatly affect shot dispersion and the quality of contact.
